Many curators in British regimental museums are still wondering what was the appeareance of the buttons and plates worn by Wellington's soldiers during the Peninsular War. I hope this Blog entrance will help.
These 23 shoulder belt plates were found on the French side of the Pyrenees and belong to a French private collector.
Any regimental museum interested in knowing more about Peninsular War relics, please, take me for granted. I've been in contact with private collectors for many years now and I reckon I might be able to provide you with such revealing pictures as the following ones.
